Regional event between Azerbaijani and Georgian women entrepreneurs
In December, a regional event was held between Azerbaijani and Georgian women entrepreneurs, It served as a regular exchange of information on good practices of entrepreneurship development within the project "Economic Empowerment of Women through Social Mobilization and Development of Opportunities".
Two online sessions were held in December 2022:
On December 7, a regional meeting was held in the direction of marketing and branding, which was attended by members of the self-help group created within the framework of the project "Economic empowerment of women through social mobilization and opportunity development", from Akhaltsikhe, Marneuli, Apindzi and Dusheti. At the meeting, Aisha Polukhova presented her business and focused on her activities in the direction of marketing and branding.
On December 13, a regional meeting was held in the direction of food safety, which was attended by self-help group members from Akhaltsikhe, Marneuli, Aspindzi, Bolnisi and Dusheti.
The exchange of experiences between women entrepreneurs and experts in the field mainly focused on both marketing and branding as well as food safety.
The women participating in the meetings produce a variety of products, such as non-alcoholic beer, ceramics, tea, dried fruit and cheese.
The initiative is financed by the governments of Switzerland and Austria within the framework of the regional project "Economic Empowerment of Women in the South Caucasus". This activity is carried out together with CARE Caucasus in the Caucasus, the partners in Georgia are the Kakheti Regional Development Fund and the Tasso Foundation, and in Azerbaijan the UNDP Azerbaijan Office.
