Self-help groups joined the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence
Self-help groups created within the framework of the project "Economic empowerment of women through social mobilization and opportunity development" actively joined the 16-day campaign against gender violence.

Within the campaign, self-help groups planned and implemented various activities in their own community:

On November 26, in the village of Nakalakevi, Aspindze Municipality, a film screening and discussion was held, and members of the self-help group distributed information brochures about violence in the community.
On November 26, in the village of Khuldara, Marneuli municipality, an information meeting was held with a psychologist on the topic of prevention of violence against women, which was attended by community members from the village of Tsofi, Molaogli and Khuldara.
On November 27, in the village of Nijgori, Aspindze municipality, a film screening and discussion was also held, and members of the self-help group distributed information brochures about violence in the community.
On November 28, in the adult education center of Bolnisi municipality, a film screening and discussion was organized by the self-help group of Khatisofeli.
On November 28, in the village of Tandzia, Bolnisi Municipality, a screening of the film was held with the invited guests, organized by the members of the Tandzia Self-Help Group.
On November 30, in Akhalkalaki, organized by the members of Buzaveti and Kartikam self-help groups, a film screening, discussion and sharing of successful stories (Living Library) were held.
On December 2, in Akhalkalaki, there was a film screening, discussion and sharing of successful stories (Living Library), organized by the members of the Khulgimo and Vachiani self-help group.
On December 2, in the village of Svir, Akhaltsikhe municipality, in the space of the library, a film screening and discussion was held, organized by self-help groups of Svir and Boga.
On December 5 - in Maradis village, Marneuli municipality, a meeting was held with the neighboring ethnic community, discussion of violence against women and the current situation, and a screening of the film.
On December 6, a training on women's rights was held in the village of Chargali, Dusheti municipality, by an invited trainer, which was attended by members of the self-help groups of the village of Chargali and Magharoskari. In addition, group members distributed information brochures about violence in the community

The 16-day campaign against gender-based violence ran from November 25 to December 10, and aimed to raise public awareness to end violence against women and girls.


The events planned by the self-help groups of women living in the regions were successfully implemented.
