Working Meetings in Sairme

On November 23-25, a working meeting of community foundations was held in Sairme, organized by Taso Foundation. We invited to the meeting both community foundations with many years of experience working with us, as well as newly created ones.

The representatives of the organizations introduced their foundations to the participants of the meeting, talked about the experience of working with Taso Foundation and the challenges in the regions, as well as summarized the activities carried out within the framework of the two-year grant-giving activity. On November 24 our partner organizations joined the community foundations.

Our working meetings with community foundations and partner organizations in Sairme continue. Nine community foundations and 23 partner organizations from different regions of Georgia attend the meetings.

On November 25 the first part of the meeting was devoted to summarizing the work done during the previous two days and sharing information about the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence. Ia Shalamberidze, communication specialist of Taso Foundation spoke to the participants about the coverage of women's issues.

In the second half of the day, the specially invited speaker, manager of the social justice program of the Open Society Foundation, Anano Tsintsabadze, joined the meeting and spoke to the participants on the topic Civil Society Today - Threats and Opportunities.

The meetings were facilitated by a specially invited guest, Lili Pulariani. In total, nine community foundations and 23 partner organizations from different regions of Georgia gathered.
